Van Oord’s Boreas, the company’s largest offshore wind installation vessel, was demobilised at the Wagenborg terminal in Eemshaven after completing its work at the North Sea Cluster. The vessel then entered preparations for its next project at Hollandse Kust West, where it will install monopiles in the North Sea. Wagenborg is supporting this mobilisation with dedicated assets and crews.

A key step in the mobilisation is the installation of the CAPE VLT Tool and MENCK hammer, which are essential for the upcoming offshore operations. Wagenborg’s tugboat crews recently positioned the equipment with millimetre precision onto a pontoon alongside the Boreas. The scheduled lifting of these tools onto the vessel will mark an important phase as the mobilisation progresses.
