Halliburton has secured integrated drilling and completions contracts for the GranMorgu deepwater development offshore Suriname. The long-term project is operated by TotalEnergies.

Under the agreements, Halliburton will provide drilling and completions services through a digital execution model covering planning, engineering and field operations. The company said the model is designed to improve drilling performance, speed up operational learning and reduce well construction costs.

The work will include integrated digital workflows, real-time data and remote operations capabilities. These systems will connect surface and subsurface activities while supporting more accurate well placement and operational efficiency.

Franco Delano, Vice President, Caribbean at Halliburton, said the award reflects the use of integrated execution, collaboration and digital technology in complex deepwater developments. He said the GranMorgu project will use aligned teams and well construction capabilities to support safe and efficient delivery.

The project also includes investment to expand local energy infrastructure in Suriname. Halliburton has upgraded its liquid mud and cement plant and supported construction of the country’s first drilling and completions workshop with maintenance and repair capabilities.

The company said local recruitment and supplier participation will be prioritised throughout the project.
