Wison New Energies has signed an EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning) contract with Eni and Altera Infrastructure for the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility supporting the Baleine Phase 3 offshore oil and gas development in Côte d’Ivoire.

The agreement extends Wison New Energies‘ role in the project from the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) stage through EPCIC execution. The contract also marks the company’s continued participation in FPSO projects.

The Baleine Phase 3 project is being developed by Eni in Côte d’Ivoire. Altera Infrastructure will own and operate the FPSO and was previously involved in the redeployment of the FPSO and FSO used for Baleine Phase 2.

The FPSO will operate in water depths of approximately 800–1,200 m. It is designed to process up to 90,000 barrels of oil per day, 80,000 barrels of produced water per day and 160 MMSCFD of natural gas. The facility has a design life of at least 20 years.

The unit will measure approximately 308 m in length, 57 m in breadth and 29.8 m in depth. It will support production, processing and storage operations for the Baleine Phase 3 offshore development.

According to Wison New Energies, the company will execute the project under the EPCIC contract scope.
