Saipem wins $350 million West Hub Tails contract in Angola

Saipem has secured an approximately $350 million offshore contract from Azule Energy Angola for subsea work on the West Hub Tails project offshore Angola.

Saipem has been awarded an offshore contract worth approximately $350 million by Azule Energy Angola S.p.A. for the West Hub Tails project in Angola.

The contract covers engineering, fabrication, transportation and installation of subsea infrastructure for the development. Saipem will install about 62 km of flowlines, risers and umbilicals connected to the Agogo Floating Production, Storage and Offloading unit.

West Hub Tails is part of the Agogo Integrated West Hub Development, located around 180 km offshore Angola in water depths of up to 1,750 m. Azule Energy Angola S.p.A. is an incorporated joint venture owned by Eni and bp.

The work is expected to run for approximately two and a half years. Fabrication activities will be carried out at Saipem’s Ambriz yard in Angola, with local companies and personnel involved in the project.

Offshore installation activities will use FDS and Normand Maximus.
