COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry has entered the listing guidance process for a proposed A-share initial public offering after its registration was disclosed by China’s securities regulator on 12 September 2026.
CICC and China Merchants Securities are jointly providing listing guidance. The company has registered capital of RMB3.6 billion, while COSCO Shipping Group directly holds 100% of its shares.
At the end of 2025, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry held shipbuilding orders for 216 vessels totalling 24.77 million dwt. Of these, 76 vessels totalling 8.11 million dwt were under construction.
During 2025, the company secured 79 new shipbuilding orders worth RMB41.3 billion and delivered 62 vessels totalling 6.31 million dwt.
The company also operates in offshore engineering and ship repair and conversion. It secured 17 new offshore engineering projects and completed six during 2025. Its offshore orderbook stood at 34 projects at year-end, including 14 under construction.
In its repair and conversion business, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry completed work on 1,324 vessels in 2025. Its annual repair and conversion capacity exceeds 1,500 vessels.
