Dajin Heavy Industry has delivered KING THREE, completing its three-vessel KING series of large deck carriers and establishing the company’s self-owned ocean-going transport fleet.

KING THREE, the third vessel in the series, was officially delivered on 27 September 2026 at Dajin’s Panjin base in China. KING ONE and KING TWO had already been delivered, with KING TWO beginning its maiden voyage on 2 September carrying monopiles for the BC Wind offshore wind project.

The KING-series vessels measure 239.8 m in length and 51 m in breadth, with a deck working area of 12,000 m² and a maximum deadweight of 40,000 tonnes. They have a maximum speed of 13 knots and a range of up to 16,000 nautical miles, and are designed to transport large offshore wind equipment including monopiles and jackets.

KING ONE began its maiden voyage in February 2026 and subsequently completed two voyages carrying monopiles to European ports. Dajin’s 2026 interim report had scheduled KING THREE for September delivery and targeted full operation of all three KING-series vessels during the year.

Dajin is also progressing construction of its larger EMPEROR series of ultra-wide heavy-load deck carriers. The new design measures 245 m in length and 61 m in breadth, with a deck area of 13,500 m² and a maximum deadweight of 60,000 tonnes.

The EMPEROR series is equipped with twin-engine, twin-propeller propulsion and six 3,000 m³/h ballast pumps. Dajin lists floating foundations, oil and gas modules and other ultra-large equipment among the cargoes targeted by the design. The company said in its interim report that construction of the series was progressing.
