EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH (EEW SPC) is planning to expand its manufacturing site at the Port of Rostock to increase production capacity for larger monopiles.

The Rostock facility currently produces monopiles with diameters of up to 10 m. Under the planned expansion, EEW SPC intends to establish an additional production line capable of manufacturing monopiles with diameters of up to 15 m.

The new line is planned to provide annual capacity for around 50 to 70 additional monopiles in the 12 m to 15 m diameter range.

The expansion would require approximately 40 ha of additional land next to the existing production site at the Port of Rostock.

On 4 March 2026, Rostock City Council instructed the city administration to establish the planning conditions needed for the proposed expansion.

The planned expansion would increase EEW SPC’s capacity to manufacture larger monopiles at its Rostock site.
