Vattenfall and CIP have selected EEW SPC to manufacture 69 TP-less monopiles in Rostock for the first phase of the 1 GW Zeevonk offshore wind project.

EEW SPC plans to expand its Rostock plant for monopiles up to 15 m in diameter, with planned annual capacity for around 50 to 70 additional units.

DEME has installed the first transition piece at Vattenfall’s 980 MW Nordlicht I offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, following the first monopile installation in early July.

EEW SPC has loaded out the first monopiles for the Baltica 2 offshore wind project and will supply 77 monopile foundations from Rostock harbour in line with the project’s construction schedule.
