Around 50 offshore workers on the Elgin Franklin and North Alwyn platforms operated by Neo Next + Energy will stage five 24-hour strikes after rejecting pay offers of below 3%.

Unite members will stop work from 06:00 on 22 and 29 July 2026. Further stoppages are scheduled for 5, 12 and 19 August 2026, also beginning at 06:00.

The dispute involves control room, production and senior operators, along with operations and production technicians.

Unite said the workers had voted in favour of strike action and called on Neo Next + Energy to improve its pay offer before the first stoppage.

Neo Next + Energy E&P Limited was formed through the merger of NEO NEXT and TotalEnergies’ UK upstream oil and gas operations. It is the largest independent oil and gas producer in the North Sea.

TotalEnergies E&P UK Limited reported post-tax profits of £70.8 million in 2024, compared with £226.2 million in the previous year.

Unite industrial officer Stevie Davies said the operator had a final opportunity to resolve the dispute before the planned action began.
