SED Energy Holdings Plc has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SeaBird Exploration, has secured a contract for ocean bottom node (OBN) source work in West Africa.

The campaign will use the Fulmar Explorer. Including mobilization and demobilization, the contract duration is approximately three months.

Mobilization is expected to begin after the vessel completes its five-year class survey, which is currently scheduled for August 2026.

Finn Atle Hamre, CEO of SeaBird Exploration, said the contract adds work for the Fulmar Explorer and strengthens the company’s backlog. He also said the award reflects continued demand for SeaBird Exploration’s OBN source capabilities and its ability to deliver reliable and efficient operations in the region.
