CM Energy has unveiled the Meridian Class, a new construction and service operation vessel (CSOV) platform developed to support the changing requirements of the global offshore wind sector.

The Hong Kong-based offshore and clean energy technology provider said the Meridian Class was designed as a next-generation vessel concept focused on both operational capability and commercial efficiency. The design follows North Sea standards, reflecting the demanding conditions typically associated with offshore wind projects.

According to CM Energy, the vessel has been developed to meet rising demand for offshore support tonnage capable of supporting wind farm commissioning activities, routine operations, maintenance work and major component replacement campaigns.

The Meridian Class will be offered with multiple low-carbon propulsion options. These include alternative-fuel configurations as well as a fully electric version, providing owners and charterers with flexibility as environmental requirements continue to evolve.

CM Energy said the propulsion choices are intended to help operators align vessel investments with corporate sustainability objectives while preparing for future regulatory standards.

Shi Wei, Assistant President and International Director of CM Energy, said the Meridian Class combines established offshore vessel principles with new design approaches and flexible commercial solutions. He added that the company expects the new platform to deliver strong performance and value for offshore wind support operations.
