A 370-tonne cryostat tank built for the world’s largest fusion experiment has been transported from Zhangjiagang, China, to Fos, France, for DAHER Transport SAS. The move was completed by the JSI Alliance, supporting the ITER Organization Project, a global scientific initiative aimed at enabling sustainable fusion energy.

The shipment travelled on MV Wiebke and was handled on a last-in/first-out basis. This sequence required careful planning to maintain safe handling and ensure the cargo arrived on schedule.

Along with the main tank, additional accessories were included in the shipment. The alliance stated that the task drew on its combined technical expertise and global reach to execute the transport in line with project requirements.
