Roll Group is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager to expand its heavy transport, maritime shipping, heavy lifting and project logistics business across Southern and Eastern Africa.
The position focuses on identifying new project opportunities, developing client relationships and securing contracts in sectors including oil and gas, renewable energy, mining, power and petrochemicals. The successful candidate will manage commercial activities from business development and tender preparation through contract negotiations and project handover, working closely with regional management and global engineering and operations teams.
This is a full-time position, preferably based in Southern Africa. Candidates should be prepared for frequent regional and international travel, with relocation considered under local employment conditions.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
- At least 7–10 years of relevant commercial experience, preferably in heavy transport, heavy lifting or project cargo shipping.
- Proven business development and key account management experience, ideally within African markets.
- Strong understanding of technical project requirements, tendering and contract negotiations.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel frequently; Portuguese is an advantage.
