Rem Offshore has reached a key construction milestone for its new offshore construction vessel, Rem Ocean, after receiving the vessel’s hull from the Song Cam shipyard in Vietnam.

The hull was officially delivered on 15 June, completing the construction phase and allowing the project to move into final outfitting before vessel delivery.

Following the handover, Rem Ocean began its tow voyage to Europe on 17 June. The vessel departed the Hai Phong area and is traveling via Singapore before continuing to Norway.

On arrival, Rem Ocean will enter Myklebust Verft, where operational systems and specialist equipment will be installed. The work will prepare the vessel for commissioning and final delivery.

The vessel forms part of Rem Offshore’s next-generation fleet program. It has been designed for demanding offshore operations and includes solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and sustainability.

The move from Vietnam to Norway marks the next stage of the project, which Rem Offshore said remains on schedule.
