POSH Saudi has acquired an Argus XL65 electric work-class ROV for deployment in the Persian Gulf, adding new equipment to support its diving and SURF activities in the region.

The electric WROV is equipped with twin Schilling manipulators and a Top Hat tether management system. POSH Saudi said the unit will soon be mobilised to the Persian Gulf for its ongoing subsea operations.

Argus Remote Systems, based in Norway, develops electric ROV systems for offshore energy operations. Its equipment is designed for applications including inspection, maintenance, repair and intervention work on offshore and subsea infrastructure.

The acquisition adds another work-class system to the subsea equipment being deployed in offshore operations. A recent HMT News report also covered the delivery of a new work-class ROV system for offshore mobilisation, reflecting continued use of this class of equipment across subsea projects.

The XL65 acquisition follows other subsea activity by POSH in the Gulf region. POSH Saudi previously announced a long-term diving services contract in the Arabian Gulf, with diving support vessel POSH Mallard assigned to provide saturation and air diving services with support from a work-class ROV.

Separately, POSH secured a subsea diving and installation contract from Subsea7 in the Arabian Gulf. Offshore execution was scheduled for the third quarter of 2026 using DP3 multi-purpose offshore construction vessel POSH Deep C, which is equipped with an integrated saturation and air diving system.

Alongside the new ROV acquisition, POSH Saudi is seeking supervisors and technicians with experience operating Argus systems. The company said previous Middle East experience is preferred for the roles.
