Roll Group has deployed Spinergie’s Offshore Wind Supply Chain intelligence platform to improve visibility into vessel deployment, competitor activity and offshore wind component transport flows.

The move highlights the growing role of data analytics in offshore wind logistics as projects become larger and supply chains extend across multiple regions.

As offshore wind developments expand geographically, logistics providers are increasingly required to manage the transportation of turbines, foundations and other oversized components over longer distances. This has increased the need for detailed market visibility and more advanced planning tools.

To address these challenges, Roll Group has adopted Spinergie’s intelligence platform, providing access to live vessel tracking, transport analytics and market intelligence aimed at supporting commercial planning and fleet deployment decisions.

The platform combines real-time vessel information with analytical tools that allow users to monitor fleet utilization, assess competitor activity and track the movement of offshore wind components.

An interactive mapping system also incorporates weather and wave data, enabling users to analyse transport routes and project execution conditions in greater detail.

For Roll Group, which operates a fleet of semi-submersible and wide-deck vessels, the platform is intended to support asset deployment decisions and help identify emerging market opportunities.

Erik Altena, Business Analyst at Roll Group, said enhanced market visibility and transport data strengthen the company’s ability to identify opportunities and respond to changing market conditions.

According to Spinergie, transport logistics is becoming increasingly important to offshore wind project delivery as supply chains become more complex and demand for components continues to grow.

The agreement shows how real-time intelligence and analytics are becoming more important in maritime and offshore operations.
