DOF has secured a transport and installation contract for a floating offshore wind development in the North Sea.
The scope covers inshore marine operations, mooring system pre-lay, floating offshore wind turbine tow-out and installation, and the installation of dynamic and static export cables.
Engineering activities are already underway, with DOF project teams working with the client ahead of offshore execution.
The contract combines marine and subsea activities across several stages of the installation process, from preparatory inshore work and mooring operations to turbine and export cable installation.
DOF Group ASA CEO Mons Aase said the project is technically demanding and that the company is preparing to execute the contracted work from inshore marine operations through to final cable installation.
