Aker BP ASA’s Yggdrasil development has reached a key milestone with the 2,500-tonnes Hugin B topside safely rolled out and loaded onto a barge at Aker Solutions’ Verdal yard.

The topside was delivered through the Fixed Facilities Alliance between Aker BP, Aker Solutions, and Siemens Energy. Hugin B will be a normally unmanned installation in the southern part of Yggdrasil.

Following the Hugin B jacket installation earlier this year, the topside is now preparing for sail-away to the North Sea. It will be the first of three Yggdrasil topsides to be installed.
