The Hugin B topside has departed Aker Solutions’ Verdal yard, completing a three-and-a-half-year delivery programme for Aker BP’s Yggdrasil and Valhall PWP-Fenris developments.

Aker BP’s Yggdrasil development reached a key milestone as the 2,500-tonnes Hugin B topside was rolled out and loaded onto a barge at Aker Solutions’ Verdal yard.

Aker Solutions won a five-year MMO contract from Aker BP covering key NCS assets including Yggdrasil, starting 1 March 2026, with options and a NOK 8–12 billion value range.

Aker Solutions has received the Hugin A living-quarters module at Stord, completing major module deliveries for the Yggdrasil platform and paving the way for final topside assembly.

BigLift’s MC-Class carrier Barentsz reached Norway’s Stord Port with the Hugin A Wellbay Module from Drydocks World Dubai, a key element for the Yggdrasil Hugin A topsides.
