AD Ports Group and Dajin Heavy Industry have signed a memorandum of understanding to review cooperation opportunities in offshore wind supply chain development, maritime logistics, port infrastructure, and strategic vessel investments.
The agreement covers several areas linked to offshore wind project delivery. These include the transport of offshore wind components, the development of pre-assembly hubs, fabrication and assembly work, logistics solutions for offshore energy infrastructure, and potential participation in selected offshore wind tenders and industrial projects.
The UAE-based port operator said on 16 June that the cooperation is aimed at combining port and logistics capabilities with manufacturing expertise to support offshore wind and energy infrastructure markets in Europe and other regions.
The MoU follows a series of offshore wind-related moves by AD Ports Group over the past year, including partnerships with Masdar, Siemens Energy, and Green Parrot.
The company has also recently acquired Spain’s Balenciaga shipyard, which specializes in building offshore wind vessels.
