Global project logistics specialist deugro has signed a new strategic port handling agreement with J. Müller at Germany’s Port of Brake, enhancing the import and storage logistics of large-scale wind turbine components for a leading global manufacturer.
This collaboration combines deugro’s two decades of experience in wind energy logistics with Brake’s advanced port infrastructure and deep-sea handling capabilities. The Port of Brake, situated on Germany’s North Sea coast, serves as one of the country’s key terminals for heavy-lift and renewable energy cargoes.
Under the agreement, deugro will manage the coordination and logistics of transporting oversized turbine blades, nacelles, and tower sections, while J. Müller provides the specialized port services and facilities to ensure efficient and safe handling.
Both companies emphasized that this partnership supports the broader European goal of accelerating offshore and onshore wind energy deployment, improving supply chain resilience, and strengthening Germany’s role in the renewable energy logistics network.
The announcement reflects the growing demand for dedicated port logistics solutions amid Europe’s push for clean energy capacity expansion. As turbine sizes continue to increase—often exceeding 100 meters in blade length—specialized port infrastructure and logistics partnerships like this are becoming essential to maintain construction timelines and optimize transport efficiency.
