Perenco UK has completed a combined decommissioning campaign at Leman South and Durango in the UK Southern North Sea. Both wells have been plugged and abandoned, and the related subsea infrastructure has been removed.

Petrodec deployed its jack-up vessel HAEVA to carry out the work with Perenco UK. The contractor is part of the Dixstone group. The wells covered by the programme were 53/02a-15Y at Leman South and 48/21a-4z at Durango.

Perenco reported the completion on 19 October 2026, saying operations had been performed safely and had met the agreed schedule.

The campaign drew on work previously undertaken at Gawain, Arthur and Davy, where HAEVA had also been used for subsea abandonment.

Jo White, Perenco UK’s managing director for the Southern North Sea, said the tasks involved substantial technical challenges. White described the combined programme centred on HAEVA as a repeatable way to undertake well abandonment and recover subsea infrastructure, without relying solely on costly drilling units or organising each offshore project separately.
