Lamprell has been awarded offshore engineering, procurement, construction and installation work in the UAE through a consortium with Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
The scope includes new offshore facilities and modifications to existing infrastructure. Within the consortium, Lamprell is responsible for EPCI delivery of the subsea pipeline.
The award is associated with the $6.2 billion Umm Shaif Gas Cap project. L&T had previously secured work from ADNOC Offshore for the development.
A separate contract worth more than $1 billion has also been awarded by ADNOC Offshore to McDermott and its Qingdao McDermott Wuchuan consortium for the same project.
That package covers EPCI work for a new surface pressure-boosting facility. The scope includes a jacket, topside construction and installation, and related brownfield modifications.
The planned facilities are designed for production of approximately 600 MMscfd of gas and around 50,000 barrels per day of condensate.
Lamprell said the latest award comes in the year marking 50 years of its operations in the UAE. CEO Ian Prescott said the company will work with L&T on execution of the project.
