The heavy transport vessel Dongbang Giant No. 3 has arrived at the Port of Dampier in Western Australia carrying the final modules for Perdaman’s Ceres Urea Project.

The vessel was berthed at Dampier with large prefabricated industrial modules on deck, marking the arrival of the final shipment of modules reported for the development.

The Ceres Urea Project is being developed by Perdaman near Karratha in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

The Port of Dampier has been used to receive large modules for the development. Pilbara Ports has previously issued operational notices covering heavy module movements along Mof Road within the port area, including temporary road closures to accommodate transport operations.

The latest arrival follows earlier deliveries of prefabricated equipment for the project.

In September, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) reported completing the fabrication and delivery of 110 modules weighing approximately 64,000 t from its Kattupalli facility in India. The modules were transported in 23 marine shipments.

The weight, dimensions and loading port of the modules carried by Dongbang Giant No. 3 have not been specified. Completion of the discharge operations has also not been confirmed.
