Dajin Heavy Industry Delivers KING TWO for Offshore Wind Transport

Dajin Heavy Industry has delivered KING TWO, the second 40,000 DWT heavy deck carrier in its KING fleet for transporting offshore wind components.

The vessel measures 239.8 m in length and 51 m in beam. Its cargo deck covers 12,000 square metres, while its operating range is 16,000 nautical miles.

KING TWO is designed to carry monopiles, jacket foundations and floating foundations for offshore wind turbines rated between 15 MW and 25 MW. The vessel is intended for long-distance transport of large offshore structures.

The delivery follows the commercial deployment of KING ONE, which has completed several transoceanic voyages. Dajin Heavy Industry said those operations demonstrated the vessel’s performance and construction quality.

The company said common production standards, coordinated supply-chain processes and fleet-wide quality controls will support the construction of additional sister vessels.

Delivery of KING THREE is planned by the end of September 2026. All three KING-series vessels are scheduled to enter operation during 2026.

Dajin Heavy Industry is also advancing construction of its higher-capacity EMPEROR-series ultra-wide heavy deck carriers.

The KING and EMPEROR fleets form part of the company’s Deep Blue Strategy, which combines equipment manufacturing, shipbuilding and marine transportation. The expanded fleet is intended to carry offshore wind components for projects in China and overseas, improve supply-chain resilience and support the company’s transition into an engineering, procurement, construction and installation service provider.
