Three Borr Drilling jack-up rig commitments involving Norve, Natt and Joro cover work in West Africa, Nigeria and the UK, according to the company’s 30 September 2026 announcement. The arrangements include a UK accommodation contract, an exercised drilling option in Nigeria and a binding letter of award in West Africa.
In the UK, Joro is scheduled to begin accommodation work for an undisclosed operator in mid-October 2026. The assignment covers an estimated 60 days of firm work, extending the rig’s commitment into December 2026. The agreement also carries priced options for a further 56 days.
In Nigeria, Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company has taken up its existing option for one additional well using Natt. Under the current drilling programme, the rig is expected to remain with the operator until early August 2027.
Meanwhile, an unidentified operator in West Africa has issued Norve a binding letter of award for a three-well drilling campaign. Operations are planned to start in mid-December 2026, with the firm scope estimated at 245 days.
The award would keep Norve committed into August 2027 and provides priced options covering another estimated 175 days of work.
Borr Drilling did not specify contract values or dayrates in its announcement.
