Rotterdam, Netherlands — Norwegian heavy marine transport specialist BOA Offshore has shared that its semi-submersible barge BOABARGE 38 will be available for operations in the Rotterdam area starting October.
The BOABARGE 38 features a horizontal submerging capacity of up to 21.5 meters of water above deck and a uniform deck strength of 35 tonnes per square meter. With a free deck area of 5,150 square meters, the barge is capable of handling heavy load-out, float-on, and float-off operations for some of the largest offshore and industrial cargoes.
According to the company, the barge’s versatile design and robust technical capabilities make it one of the most capable units of its class, supporting complex marine operations across offshore, shipyard, and industrial sectors.
This flexibility allows BOABARGE 38 to accommodate a wide range of project requirements — from offshore module transport and subsea structure handling to large fabrication yard operations in Europe’s busiest industrial hub.
