Dajin Heavy Industry has dispatched KING THREE from Tangshan carrying 10 Nordseecluster B monopiles to the Dutch port of Eemshaven. The sailing marks KING THREE’s first voyage. It is also the second consignment Dajin has sent for the project.

Dajin developed the vessel and carried out its construction for the transport of offshore wind components and heavy marine engineering equipment. Its entry into service means all three vessels in the company’s KING series are now operational. KING THREE is a 40,000 DWT deck carrier.

Dajin’s supply scope for Nordseecluster B covers 60 monopiles. Its facilities in Tangshan and Penglai share the manufacturing work. The current consignment follows an initial shipment that also left Tangshan for the Dutch port.

For Nordseecluster A, Dajin finished delivering 45 monopiles in August 2025. Offshore installation of those foundations was completed in the same year.

Nordseecluster lies in Germany’s North Sea waters and is a joint project of RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management. RWE oversees construction and will handle operations over the project’s lifetime.

Alongside the KING fleet, Dajin is developing and building its larger EMPEROR series. The vessels measure 61 metres across the beam. Dajin says the larger hulls are intended to increase carrying capacity and widen the range of project cargoes they can transport.
