Ventura Offshore Adds Deep Value Driller, Signs Estimated $58 Million PETRONAS Contract

Ventura Offshore Holding Ltd. has agreed to provide marketing and operations management services for Deep Value Driller and signed a drilling contract with PETRONAS E&P Bobara Sdn. Bhd. for a one-well programme in Indonesia.

Under an agreement with Eldorado Drilling, Ventura Offshore will provide marketing and operations management services for Deep Value Driller, a seventh-generation ultra-deepwater drillship.

The agreement adds Deep Value Driller to Ventura Offshore’s managed fleet.

Separately, Ventura Offshore signed a contract with PETRONAS E&P Bobara Sdn. Bhd. covering a one-well drilling programme offshore Indonesia.

The contract has an estimated value of approximately $58 million, including provisional sums for additional services. Ventura Offshore will be entitled to operating fees under the contract.

The agreements add Deep Value Driller to Ventura Offshore’s managed fleet and cover a new drilling programme in Indonesia.

Ventura Offshore owns and operates the drillship DS Carolina and the semisubmersible drilling rigs SSV Victoria and SSV Catarina. It also manages the drillship Atlantic Zonda.

The company’s drilling rigs are currently operating offshore Brazil and Indonesia.
