A configuration of 580 self-propelled modular transporter axle lines was deployed by Sarens for the movement and load-out of the Valhall PWP topside at Aker Solutions’ Stord yard in Norway.

The structure weighs more than 17,500 tonnes and is part of the Valhall PWP-Fenris development operated by Aker BP ASA. Fabrication work for the topside has been carried out by Aker Solutions at the Stord facility.

During the operation, the SPMT units supported and distributed the topside’s weight as it was transferred from its assembly location to the load-out area.

Sarens reported that the move was completed safely and according to schedule. The work required coordinated planning and engineering among Sarens, Aker Solutions, Aker BP ASA, and other companies involved in the project.

Following the load-out, the topside has progressed from its yard-based fabrication and assembly stage toward offshore delivery and installation within the Valhall PWP-Fenris development.
