Next Geosolutions, also known as NextGeo, has completed post-lay trenching work for the Bouri Gas Utilisation Project in Libya, adding trenching to its offshore services portfolio.

The work was carried out through Rana Subsea, a Next Geosolutions subsidiary, as part of installation operations led by Saipem.

The project was supported by Pharos Offshore Group, which provided the specialist trenching technology used during the operation.

Next Geosolutions said the work supports its strategy to expand offshore capabilities through organic growth and strategic partnerships. The company said the project also reflects its approach of combining internal expertise with industrial cooperation to offer a wider range of services to offshore energy clients.

Alessandro Buffa, Chief Executive Officer of Rana Subsea, said the project confirms the company’s ability to meet high industry standards in trenching, which has now been added to Next Geosolutions’ service offering. He also said Rana Subsea contributed engineering and operational expertise to strengthen the group’s role in complex offshore projects.
