United Heavy Lift and K2 Project Forwarding have transported four large subsea templates from Gdansk, Poland, to Wergeland Base in Norway for Equinor’s Fram Sør project.
The transport was arranged by K2 Project Forwarding in cooperation with United Heavy Lift on behalf of OneSubsea. The scope included transport planning and coordination, engineering and permitting for the four structures.
The cargo is part of the subsea production system for Fram Sør. OneSubsea was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract by Equinor in August 2025 for a 12-well all-electric subsea production system. Its scope includes four subsea templates and 12 all-electric subsea trees.
Equinor’s development plan also specifies four subsea templates with four well slots each. Twelve wells are planned for start-up, with four additional slots available for possible later development in the Fram and Troll area.
Fram Sør is a subsea development in the northern North Sea. The templates will be connected to existing Fram infrastructure and the Troll C platform for processing and export.
