
Allseas’ Braveheart Departs China on Rotterdam Voyage
Allseas’ new cargo barge Braveheart has departed China for Rotterdam after an 18-month build, adding an electric ballast system and supporting Pioneering Spirit transfers.

Allseas’ new cargo barge Braveheart has departed China for Rotterdam after an 18-month build, adding an electric ballast system and supporting Pioneering Spirit transfers.

Allseas is upgrading its heavy-lift vessel Pioneering Spirit, raising topsides single-lift capacity by 25% to 60,000 tonnes through a TLS upgrade ahead of major North Sea decommissioning and offshore wind projects into the 2030s.

Allseas will install a 500-km deepwater pipeline system for Enbridge in the US Gulf, including 515 km of subsea infrastructure. Installation will be executed by Solitaire, with offshore work planned for 2027–2028.

Boskalis, in partnership with Allseas, carried out dredging and diving operations in the North Sea to prepare a depleted gas field for conversion into an offshore CO₂ storage facility under the Porthos project.

Allseas will install the 150 km, 24-inch Rome Pipeline for Shell and Chevron’s joint venture, enhancing oil transport capacity and efficiency in the U.S. Gulf.

Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit completes the 11,600-tonne Eider Alpha topsides removal, marking the start of TAQA UK’s major North Sea decommissioning programme.

Allseas has selected Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam to design its new semi-submersible heavy transport vessel Grand Tour, to be built in China and delivered in 2028.
