Seatech Engineering and CRIST S.A. are developing the SE-103 UXO, a 95 m vessel concept for seabed operations involving unexploded ordnance and hazardous materials in the Baltic Sea.

The vessel is planned with diesel-electric propulsion, dynamic positioning capability and a large working deck. Its equipment package is expected to include specialised ROV, sonar, launch and recovery, and UXO handling systems.

The concept is intended to support seabed clearance work in areas designated for offshore wind farms, subsea cables and other marine infrastructure.

The project is being developed as Poland expands work related to hazardous materials on the seabed. A government-approved action plan for 2027 covers the identification, monitoring and removal of hazardous materials from Polish maritime areas, including legacy chemical munitions.

The plan also covers monitoring of UXO-related activity linked to offshore wind development.

Seatech Engineering and CRIST S.A. are preparing the SE-103 UXO for this type of marine operation. The development brings together engineering and shipbuilding expertise from the two companies.
