Seadrill Extends Angola Work for Sonangol Quenguela

Seadrill said its 50:50 joint venture Sonadrill has received a contract extension for the ultra-deepwater drillship Sonangol Quenguela in Angola.

The extension follows the exercise of a priced option covering seven wells. The award adds about 480 days of work and keeps the rig committed through June 2028.

Seadrill said it earns a management fee for providing management, operational and technical support to Sonadrill.
