Oceanica Engenharia has secured a new package of charter contracts with Petrobras worth about $736 million, covering both new work and contract renewals. The agreements raise the company’s order backlog to about BRL 12 billion, or about $2.3 billion, strengthening its position in Brazil’s offshore services market.

The contracts run for four years, with operations scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027 and continue through 2031, according to Oceanica Engenharia.

As part of the new awards, Oceanicasub VI signed a charter contract with Petrobras. The company said the vessel will add to its operational capability in underwater services.

The renewed contracts cover four shallow diving support vessels, Oceanicasub IV, Oceanicasub V, Oceanicasub VII, and Oceanicasub IX. These vessels will carry out underwater services for inspection, maintenance, and intervention work, including work-class ROV deployment, electric ROV operations, and diving activities.

The ROV support vessel Oceanicasub VIII also received a contract renewal from Petrobras.
