Saipem has secured a $1.8 billion contract in the Middle East for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) work covering offshore and subsea facilities.

The Italian engineering, drilling and construction services company did not disclose the client, project name or additional details of the scope.

The award follows another contract announced by Saipem in early July involving a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit for an energy project in Indonesia.

That EPCI contract, valued at approximately $2 billion, relates to an FPSO intended for deployment at the Indonesian project.
