Noble Corporation has been awarded a one-well contract by ORLEN S.A. Upstream Norge AS for the Noble Intrepid to drill an exploration well on production licence PL1135 offshore Norway.

The drilling campaign is expected to start in Q3 2027 and run for an estimated 40–60 days. The ultra-harsh environment jack-up will operate on PL1135 in the North Sea.

Norwegian Offshore Directorate data show that PL1135 covers 867 km² across blocks 2/2 and 2/3. The licence was awarded on 11 March 2022.

The 2027 award follows another Norway contract announced for the Noble Intrepid in 2025. Noble Corporation said on 28 April 2025 that DNO Norge AS had awarded the rig a one-well contract expected at the time to begin in August 2025, with an estimated duration of 50–90 days.

According to Noble Corporation, the Noble Intrepid is a Gusto MSC CJ70 X150 MD-design jackup built in 2014. The company classifies its XLE jackups as high-specification units capable of operating in harsh environments.
