Neptune Marine has loaded multipurpose pontoon NP289 and EuroPontoon NP643 onto heavy transport vessel Seaway Albatross in the Caland Canal, the Netherlands, for transport in support of a Van Oord project.

According to vessel tracking information, Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago is listed as the discharge port for Seaway Albatross. The specific Van Oord project that the two pontoons will support has not been disclosed.

The shipment follows preparations for NP289 in Rotterdam. Neptune Marine previously reported that the 80 m-long and 24 m-wide pontoon was being prepared in the Eemhaven and Waalhaven for an upcoming offshore project supporting Van Oord.

Seaway Albatross, operated by Seaway7, is an open-deck semi-submersible heavy transport vessel used for dry transportation of offshore structures and other oversized floating and non-floating cargoes. The vessel is approximately 204.3 m long and 42.5 m wide, with 5,400 m² of free deck area.

With NP289 and NP643 secured on deck, Seaway Albatross is transporting the two pontoons from the Netherlands for their next assignment with Van Oord.
