Granada Cranes has secured two multi-year offshore service and maintenance agreements covering two major offshore wind farm sites.

The agreements are valued at £3.5 million per year and include inspection, maintenance and repair services for critical lifting equipment used in offshore wind operations.

Under the contracts, Granada Cranes’ offshore engineering teams will provide statutory inspections, preventative maintenance and breakdown response services. The scope covers platform cranes and davits installed across the wind energy sites.

The company said the services will support the reliability, integrity, operational availability and safety of lifting equipment in offshore environments.

Mark Sidwell, Managing Director of Granada Cranes, said the contract awards reflected the dedication, expertise and safety record of the company’s offshore team. He also said maintaining lifting equipment integrity is important as the global offshore wind sector continues to scale.

The agreements are expected to create new engineering and technical positions, supporting workforce growth and contributing to the local economy.
