Envision Energy has installed the first wind turbine at the 128 MW Vinh Long nearshore wind projects in Vietnam, marking the start of turbine installation at the site.

The developments comprise the 48 MW V1-3 Phase II project and the 80 MW V1-5&6 Phase II project in Vinh Long Province. REE Group is developing the projects, which will feature a total of 16 EN-226/8.X MW wind turbines supplied by Envision Energy.

According to Envision Energy, installation of the first EN-226/8.X MW turbine was completed in less than seven days. Work on the second unit took less than five days. The installation activities were carried out amid heavy rainfall and strong winds.

The latest milestone follows the start of turbine deliveries for the projects in June 2026. Envision Energy shipped the first four sets of EN-226/8.X MW turbines to Vietnam at that time.

The turbine supplier identifies Vinh Long as its first overseas offshore wind project.

The two Vinh Long developments have a combined capacity of 128 MW. Installation work on the remaining EN-226/8.X MW turbines is continuing.
