Copenhagen Offshore Partners has appointed Clement Helbig de Balzac as Chief Executive Officer of COP Korea to lead its offshore wind development portfolio in South Korea.

COP Korea is advancing a 5-GW portfolio that includes Taean Wind Power, Haewoori Offshore Wind, Haesong Offshore Wind and Jeonnam Offshore Wind. Clement Helbig de Balzac will also serve as Project CEO of Taean Wind Power.

Copenhagen Offshore Partners is the exclusive offshore wind development partner of fund manager Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.

Clement Helbig de Balzac joined Copenhagen Offshore Partners in 2022 and has served as CEO of COP Japan. Before joining the company, he held senior roles at Parkwind, working on offshore wind projects in Europe.

Jesper Krarup Holst, Partner and Head of APAC at Copenhagen Offshore Partners, said Clement Helbig de Balzac brings more than 15 years of experience in offshore wind development, construction and operations across Europe and Japan.

Jonathan Spink, former CEO of COP Korea, will relocate to Australia to continue his career in the energy sector.
