Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. (COOEC) has reiterated plans to expand into floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) projects as it continues work across its LNG and offshore engineering portfolio.

In its 2026 half-year report, COOEC said it plans to strengthen engineering contracting for LNG receiving terminals and storage tanks while developing its contracting capability for natural gas liquefaction plants. The company also identified FSRU and FLNG projects as areas for further expansion.

The contractor said it would continue using an EPCM contracting model for its LNG business, with a focus on engineering, procurement and resource management.

The LNG portfolio under execution includes Zhejiang LNG Phase III and the Fujian No. 7 tank project. COOEC also reported progress on the Cambodia LNG receiving terminal project, where construction of the storage tank walls had started.

The company carried out 64 projects above its designated scale during the first half of 2026 and completed nine. Its construction work included 30 jackets and 13 topsides, while offshore installation covered 16 jackets and nine topsides. It also laid 241.4 km of subsea pipelines and 31.6 km of subsea cables.

First-half revenue increased 9.4% year on year, while net profit attributable to shareholders declined 0.6%. COOEC also continued to execute domestic and overseas offshore energy projects during the period.
