CEVA Logistics, Fagioli has completed the engineering, transport, load-out and launch work for CCGS Donjek at Halifax Shipyard in Nova Scotia, Canada, as part of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy.
CCGS Donjek is an Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship designed to support Canadian Coast Guard operations in the Arctic and along Canada’s East Coast.
The vessel launch operation included the movement of the ship’s megablocks from the Module Hall to Land Level before final assembly.
After assembly was completed, CCGS Donjek was loaded out and launched using 232 SPMT axle lines and a semi-submersible barge.
The scope undertaken by CEVA Logistics, Fagioli covered the engineering and heavy transport activities required for the vessel’s transport, load-out and launch.
