Bourbon Evolution 810 has entered service and is starting its first long-term inspection, maintenance, and repair contract offshore India.
Delivered in Singapore in February, the vessel is the latest unit in Bourbon’s Evolution 800 series. The series is designed for operations in water depths ranging from 2,500 m to 3,000 m.
The vessel features diesel-electric propulsion and incorporates updates to its DP3 system, propulsion control, and power generation management. It is also equipped with two active heave-compensated cranes with lifting capacities of 40 tons and 150 tons, as well as two 200 HP remotely operated vehicles.
Accommodation is available for 105 people in 69 cabins.
Bourbon Chief Operating Officer Stephan Midenet said the vessel was intended to meet the technical requirements of deepwater IMR operations while providing personnel with a safe and suitable working environment.
