Seaway7 has sold Seaway Moxie to CBED and will charter the vessel back to support its existing project commitments until early 2028. Its new name will be Wind Dedication.

CBED said in its acquisition announcement that delivery had already taken place. The purchase brings its fleet to four vessels, joining Wind Innovation, Wind Creation and Wind Evolution.

For Seaway7, the disposal supports a closer focus on its principal offshore wind installation business. The seller said it could tailor the sourcing of support vessels to the needs of each project.

Built specifically for offshore wind work, Seaway Moxie began operating in 2014. Over more than ten years, the vessel has assisted European cable installation campaigns by transferring personnel offshore and providing installation support.

The vessel will receive its new name and CBED logo first. Repainting in the buyer’s complete fleet colour scheme is scheduled for its next dry-docking survey.

According to CBED, the vessel has 60 berths, including crew accommodation, and carries an Uptime motion-compensated gangway and a DP2 positioning system. Facilities aboard include offices, meeting rooms, a gym, a cinema and lounge space.
