Aker Solutions has secured a new bp North Sea contract to provide engineering and integrity services across the energy company’s UK offshore assets. The framework agreement was announced on 30 September 2026.

The contract extends Aker Solutions‘ existing responsibilities beyond bp‘s assets west of Shetland to include facilities in the Central North Sea. Under the agreement, the company will handle integrity management and engineering, alongside project and operational support.

The initial contract period is three years, with two optional one-year extensions. Aker Solutions will manage the work through its Life Cycle business from Aberdeen, Scotland, and expects the agreement to support approximately 50 positions.

Steinar Røgenes, acting Executive Vice President of the Life Cycle business at Aker Solutions, said the expanded responsibilities build on the company’s existing relationship with bp. He also described the agreement as supporting the development of its Life Cycle business in the UK.

The financial value of the contract was not disclosed.
