Halliburton has secured a bundled well construction and completions contract from Eni for the Cronos ultra-deepwater development in Block 6 of Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone.

The work will cover exploration and development wells, combining drilling, well construction, automation and completions services under one package.

Halliburton will provide drilling fluids, directional drilling, cementing, surface well testing and coiled tubing. LOGIX™ automation and remote operations technologies are also included in the scope.

Project execution will be supported by Halliburton’s established operations in Cyprus, including regional resources for logistics and campaign support.

Jean-Marc Lopez, senior vice president for Europe, Eurasia and Sub-Saharan Africa at Halliburton, said the Cronos award builds on the company’s existing relationship with Eni and covers integrated offshore services for the ultra-deepwater development.
