Four Liebherr mobile harbour cranes have been transported from Rostock, Germany, to Fujairah, UAE, in a heavy-lift logistics operation managed by a Project Solutions team.

The cranes weighed up to 460 tonnes each and measured as much as 75 m in length. Their transport required specialist handling, engineering assessments, load calculations and planned lifting operations.

The units were shipped aboard a heavy lift vessel operated by dship Carriers, which carried the cranes from Germany to the UAE.

Once operational, the cranes will support Fujairah Terminals’ container handling capabilities and its planned expansion across the wider AD Ports Group network.
