PV Drilling has signed a jack-up rig leasing contract with PVEP-HCM for the 2026 TL-WHP drilling program at Blocks 01/97 and 02/97 offshore Vietnam. The agreement was signed on 28 August 2026.

Under the contract, PV Drilling will mobilize the IDUN jack-up rig from Borr Drilling for the campaign. The program covers three wells at TL-WHP and is expected to last about 134 days, with operations scheduled to begin in mid-October 2026.

PVEP-HCM Director Vu Viet Hung said the rig contract forms part of preparations for the 2026 early drilling program. PVEP-HCM, PV Drilling and Borr Drilling worked on the contractual arrangements ahead of the planned campaign.

PV Drilling President and CEO Nguyen Xuan Cuong said the company will coordinate resources, technical requirements and operational preparations for the drilling work.

According to PVEP President and CEO Nguyen Thien Bao, drilling in the area is being resumed after the previous well was drilled around a decade ago or longer. Current production is approximately 3,000 barrels per day.
